Have been able to extend my learning at work while picking back up the business/entrepreneurship activities and focus.

Joined the Rotaract club – refreshing set of community focus thinkers and doers.
On the other hand held some strategy meetings for business club. Definitely getting to apply more XL and presentations skills. Its paying off! Thanks Roger and OOI team!

About people and friends, finding and spending more time with the right people has helped expand energy.

On track with saving. With the focus for investment not offset or delay spending. Although both can support the investment saving when planned and done correctly.

Fitness… missing out due to work! Car parking would enable after work trips to gym again. And also for extra circular community commitments =(

Important realisation. Caught myself red-handed procastinating, thought great self awareness.
Now deciding what is my actual aspirations and goals now and into the future?

Also realised after some years of exploration, i do really enjoy my line of vocation and the industries.
Now how to leverage further such opportunites?

Though i prefer the IBM version…

“… Even though they don’t know why, the message is clear. Don’t go for the bananas.
And that is how coporate culture and company policy begins. We do it this way because “we’ve always done it this way”. We do not attempt something new or beneficial because something similar has not worked previously, despite the fact that other aspect of delivery – the contract, technology, personnel have changed.

In a Lean environment, we continually challenge policies and procedures that may have worked in the past but keep us from improving the way we do things today and in the future.

Go for the bananas!”

Perhaps i should read them once more…
Any way time to learn something new, well almost – which is to select, purchase and manage a business. So this year’s goal is to get into some serious learning of the select and purchase. I think give it another 2 years and i should have enough for something i’ll be happy to start with.

Just a small business <$1 million gross. A healthy ROI 30%, +5% year on year opportunity. Less than 10 employees. Self operating and with trusted long term manager. I’ll tweak an improve on these as i see fit.

However other option to buy metropolitan commercial freehold with >6% ROI (minus outgoings). With established tenants and +5 year till next lease renegotiation.

Time to learn more and save a lot =)

It feels like my career life is starting again. Although in a better position the job, people, working environment feels the same! =)
Well most of it is… however this gives me a chance to look back and reflect again.

Am i happy with what i have been able to achieve still i started corporate work 5 years ago?
Lucky as i have been i have accomplished all the goals i have set along the way! I’m amazed! If anyone asks… does have aspirations, setting goals and constantly working towards them help achieve what you have always dreamt about – then its true!
If i was to look back at the goals i’ve set here then i’ve reached them all (i’m sure), some took slightly longer while the others came quicker. Overall i’m extremely grateful.

What i’ve learnt has helped and so i’m share them here again…
1. Understand your burning desired values.
2. Focus on these, the critical seconds, like that on the eye of a needle (when it counts most ie. all the time so never forget)
3. Learn to let go, enjoy the moment and move forward without forgetting 1. and 2.

My overseas journeys has taught me to enjoy every single moment of my day with others. Don’t hold back just enjoy the moment and have fun~
But always be in self-control.

Some of these points may seem contradictory but i think through a heighten level of self of awareness you’ll understand that its all apart of kaizen. Its like learning to fall, walk, run then fly/swim… it the ’steps’ in these (pass & fail) that takes you further.

Since i’m continuously remindered of my family past successes, fall and rebirth i shall of making the most of what i have and focusing upon
building my inner relationships (mind, body, spirit) and controlling the abundance of my wealth.

Its ok to fail, what really matters is having the energy, euthusiam and awareness to succeed again and again…etc

From all that has happened so far, i’ve understood more of the need to be living the present.

Its through the present that you can live beyond the past and trust in the future.

However just writing this now has may be realise you can shuffle the issues and problems away by living more in which suits you best. And when i say this, you’ll therefore naturally attract and repel those who are avoiding theirs.

Its great to have the mixture and its just that there are times when living at one is more suitable for the situation.

When this matters most, leadership and relationships. More so in relationships i think at the moment.
Get that balance right and both will be happy living (in the same direction).

Respect and communication to speak and share this would help all parties i believe.
If you ever get lost, find out where you are first. Then find out where they are respectively.

I’m taking more so of this lesson with greater attention on board now.
At the moment the present will do me more good.

Happiness as it stand is feeling good right now in the present – this will stick most come what may =)
Remembering the past to appreciate present. Plan for the future to continue a happy present.
Have the present at core.

Therefore just be present to those around you.

Comparing the intensity of one’s personal energy is like comparing it to the flames and heat of a candle.

Best way to do this is to burn brightly and share the warmth given off.
Have a big flame and be able to control its direction and size when needed.
Don’t go interfering with other candles flames – and don’t burn those with your flames.
The heat of your flames is enough to spark the fire when the conditions are right and ready.
Don’t get distracted by others.

One more thing, never let your flames burn out.
